Mission and Vision

The Engineering Office provides services such as constructing, design, supervision, maintenance, improvement and repair of all infrastructure. It also includes electrical and building inspections for the issuance of electrical and building permits, prepare program of works for Municipal and Barangay projects including other related engineering services.

Issuance of Electrical Permit/Inspection of Building

Steps in securing Electrical Permit

  1. Secure Electrical Permit form to the Office of the Electrical Engineer.
  2. Accomplish the form with all the necessary data
  3. Submit accomplished forms (including Electrical Plan) to the Municipal Electrical Engineer for evaluation and assessment of fees.
  4. Pay the necessary fees to the Municipal Treasurer's Office.
  5. Wait for the Electrical Inspectorate team from the engineering office and ISELCO for inspection of installed wirings in your building.

Requirements

  1. Residence Certificate (Sedula)
  2. Accomplished Electrical Form
  3. Electrical Plan (Signed and Sealed by a Prof. Electrical Engineer)

    1. Blue print for 2 - storey residential/commercial building
    2. Blue print for 15 outlets and above or 14mm2 Service Entrance and above

Issuance of Building Permits (Building, Sanitary, Fencing)

Steps

  1. Apply Locational Clearance (Zoning Permit) at the MPDC Office
  2. Acquire prescribed application form of permits, to be filled up and submitted together with the necessary requirements.
  3. Apply for the Fire Safety Clearance at the Bureau of Fire
  4. Pay the required fees at the Municipal Treasurer's Office

Requirements

  • In case the applicant is the registered owner of the lot:
    - Submit certified true copy of OCT/TCT
    - Tax Declaration
    - Current Real Property Tax Receipt
  • In case the applicant is not the registered owner of the lot, in addition to the above:
    - Submit a duly notarized copy of Contract of Lease, deed of Absolute Sale or letter of consent

Other Requirements

  • Five (5) sets of complete plan (signed and sealed by duly licensed professionals)
  • Bill of materials and cost estimates (signed and sealed by duly licensed professionals)
  • Specifications (signed and sealed by duly licensed professionals)
  • Structural Analysis and Design (for 2 -Storey and above)
  • Seismic Analysis (above 7.5 m height)

Note: Plans and specifications shall not be required for:

  1. Traditional indigenous family dwellings which are intended for the use and occupancy of the family of the owner only and constructed of native materials such as bamboo, nipa, logs or lumber, the total cost of which does not exceed fifteen thousand pesos (P15,000.00)
  2. Single detached dwellings up to 20 sq.m. in floor area In any of the above, a simple sketch with dimensions, accompanied by a site location and vicinity map will suffice.

Schedule of Fees & Other Charges as per Provisions of the National Building Code the corresponding fees shall be based on the following:

  1. Coordinate with the Engineering Staff
  2. Request for the preparation of Program of Works of Barangay Projects
  3. Survey and validation of the Proposed Projects
  4. Preparation of Plans and Program of Works
  5. Release of Program of Works
  6. Actual Constructions
